Legal Experience

Timothy Welbeck is an associate at the Emmanuel Law Firm, where he concentrates his practice on representing victims of serious injury and wrongful death in civil litigation, including, but not limited to medical, hospital, nursing, dental and pharmaceutical malpractice, in addition to automobile accidents and slips and falls. He joined the Emmanuel Law Firm in 2011. He is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey.

Prior to joining the Emmanuel Law Firm, Timothy amassed a wide array of legal experience. He operated a diverse, private law practice that concentrates on the areas of consumer debt settlement, criminal defense, intellectual property (entertainment law), personal injury, nonprofit organization and management and wills, estates and trusts. In his practice, Timothy participated in the negotiation of $750,000+ major label distribution deal for platinum-selling American R&B group, served as legal counsel for the Executive Producer of the official soundtrack for an upcoming major motion picture, negotiated and secured major label distribution for a Philadelphia-based production company, successfully settled consumer debts for individuals, counseled individuals in minor criminal matters, managed and consulted nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations and new entrepreneurial endeavors.

Timothy also served as Staff Attorney/Assistant Director of Development for Homemaker Service of the Metropolitan Area, where he brought the agency to full compliance with HIPAA, HITECH and applicable state regulations, in addition to implementing initiatives to ensure full compliance as the agency expands, participated in the reduction of payroll expenses and additional administrative expenses by identifying alternative means in which the agency could pay its 3,000+ direct care workers’ wages, while fully complying with state regulations and secured the agency’s relationship with third party vendors by drafting legal agreements between the agency and third party vendors.

Additionally, Timothy participated in the counseling and representation of clients in litigation in federal and state courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey involving matters that encompassed defense claims in general liability, professional malpractice, personal injury, premises liability and products liability actions as an Associate in the Healthcare Practice Group of Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman and Goggin.

Teaching Experience

Timothy Welbeck is an Adjunct Professor at Temple University, where he teaches a Special Topics Course in the African American Studies Department. Timothy also instructed a Religion course at The Lovett School in Atlanta, GA prior to attending law school. He has also taught Sunday School and Bible Studies at his local church for many years.
